Yesterday was zoo day :) It started with some fuel from Jamba Juice, a little walk through the capital, and then it was just wild from there. I decided to run down to the park (where the zoo is) because it was gorgeous out! The weather is very strange in Denver...it seems to take all day for it to get to the high, and then within two hours, it's already getting chilly again. But this day was just beautiful!
So here's a bunch of pictures from the zoo. Which, by the way, was amazing! Really great place for kids (lots to do and see, lots of interactive things). Definitely somewhere I'd like to visit again, and maybe go a little slower.

| Lunch. Obviously. Someone gave me $20 and sent me to the zoo. I'm basically a large child, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT? |

After the zoo I started the trek home. I came across this place and it looked cool, so I decided to stop in for a snack (since according to some people, ice cream isn't lunch!) At this point in my day, my phone was nearly dead, so I asked the bartender if she had a charger and she graciously offered to charge it. Hence why I have no pictures of the world's most adorable (and delicious) street tacos that I had.
After a short break and a hot shower, I headed down 16th Street Mall to find my way to Union Station and see if there was something to eat, preferably a burger. Also just wanted to check it out in general since Friday night I just breezed through it. I love how pretty it was lit up at night.
So here's the thing--no burger was to be found. So off I walked, stumbling upon this scrumptious little gem of a place, Hopdaddy. Walk in, get your table number and party size, look at the menu, take it up and order at the counter, then they bring you the deliciousness. Ginger lemonade, fries with green chile queso, and a shroom burger with pesto, goat cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mushrooms...I want to eat it every day for the rest of my life, it was THAT GOOD.
I'm kind of enjoying the whole eating alone thing. Usually I have my book; this time I didn't, but that was okay. The food came out fast and I wouldn't have had a free hand anyhow. But I'm loving taking myself on dates. I always hold the door for myself, I'm a great conversationalist...what's not to love!
Today was another wonderful day. The mountains were truly calling me...read more in the next post :)
